Hello and welcome!
I'm glad to announce the progress I've made in the last few months, since we've talked:
Firstly, I'm back down to one job. This may seem normal, or even inconsequential, but it's not, and this is why: Now, I'm working 5 days a week instead of 7. This gives me time to work on my art, and it comes as a result of my recent knee surgery, during which I came up with a second talking point:
I know I've been talking about a website forever now, and I only have a weak-ass placeholder page up. But the reason why, is I've used my time off these last to weeks to teach myself Adobe Dreamweaver, and really polish up my Photoshop skills. This has been made possible by my third talking point.
I finally got my new computer! It's a beauty. An HP dv9410us, a 17" laptop with dual 1.8 GHz AMD's, 2Gb RAM, 160Gb HD, and Windows Vista Premium. Of course, with the hardware upgrade, I wanted a software upgrade, so now I'm running Adobe's Creative Suite 3.
Here come the best parts, though: I had to level my creative field, so I made two more investments: A Canon S5 IS, and I finally got a tablet! I found a 6x8 Wacom Intuos3 on Amazon for a price I couldn't justify passing up, and now, I'm finally completely set up.
So, over the last month, I've been reading, shooting, drawing, and learning, and finally tonight, you get to see the first of the fruits of my labors!
I've uploaded four new deviations tonight:
Passing Glances of Light at Dusk
Each of these was made using these new, wonderful tools; from the camera, to the computer, to the tablet, all the way down to the binders and binders full of pages I've consumed over the last 4 weeks.
Basically, what this boils down to, is this:
I'm excited! - for the last year, I've been standing at the crossroads of burgeoning creativity and limited creative resources, and now, these paths have aligned to take me down the artistic roads I've yearned to travel for the last ten years.
I finally have the tools I've wanted for so long ...
...now, it's time for my end of the bargain.
I'm excited, folks. It's really the feeling of crawling out from under a cold, damp rock and stepping into an invigorating sunlight, and now I'm holding the sun in my hands. I'm a few short weeks from having the whole operation in place, and it's gonna be awesome!
So, hold on tight, because the ride's just starting!
Yours truly,

Inhale.
Take in as much air as you can. This story should last about as long as you can hold your breath, and then just a little bit longer.
So listen as fast as you can.
